The Holy Spirit- A Personal Trainer? Part 2

A good personal trainer shows you how to perform the exercises correctly. The gym can be a dangerous place. There are all kinds of machines and weights that are designed to help us exercise different muscles. Used improperly, however, these same machines and weights can harm us. A good trainer demonstrates how each piece of machinary works and explains which muscles it works. A good trainer/coach wants us to get the most benefit out of our workout.

If we will let Him, the Holy Spirit wants to do the same thing. The world can be a dangerous place. God has created so many wonderful things for us to enjoy. Used improperly, though, they can kill us. Sex, money, relationships, authority, and so many other good things originated with God. A relationship with the Holy Spirit will allow Him to teach us how to live, using the things that He has given us for our benefit and for the benefit of those around us.
