“Honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance.”
Have you thanked God for your leaders lately? Part of the Divine Plan for God’s people is that we have people in our lives who are looking out for us and helping us to grow. I have talked to many Christians over the years who stumble over this.
“I love God but I don’t need someone to tell me how to live.”
“Who are they to suggest that I change the way that I am disciplining my kids?”
“Why does the pastor keep talking about money and telling me I need to be a giver?”
Every world-class athlete has a coach. Every great leader has a mentor. People who are the most successful in life have someone who they bounce ideas off of.
Don’t reject the coaching. Embrace it. Ask for it. Act on it. Let’s not let our insecurities keep us from hearing people who God has placed in our lives to help us.
