“You are most like your Creator when you are being creative. Does that make sense? You are most like your Creator — God — when you are being creative. And God gave you the ability to begin the creation process with your imagination. When you use your imagination for good and for God, God smiles.
“Everything starts with imagination. Nothing becomes reality unless somebody thinks of it. Every great business, every great company, every piece of art, every musical note all have one thing in common: somebody imagined it before it became reality. Nothing happens unless somebody imagines it.” Rick Warren
That is such a powerful statement! God spoke and created the universe. He knelt down and formed man out of the earth that he had spoken into existence. His command to Adam was, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:28)
Being fruitful and multiplying carries more than just the command to have kids. It’s the idea of following God’s example and continuing to create. Of course, this looks different for each of us, but what are you creating? How are you being fruitful? What are you producing?
These are important questions for each of us to ponder this week. I believe that the Holy Spirit has gifted each of us and placed ideas, dreams, and visions inside all of his children. Are we going to use our imaginations and then work to bring them to reality?
