Dear friends,

Our prayer for you this Christmas season is a time of joy and happiness as you spend it with those you love. Life is fragile. Life is short. Let us make the most of the time we have now with our friends and family.

2014 has been an incredible year for us in Brazil. We have seen some key pieces fall into place as we look to plant churches in other cities in this great country. We are on track right now to have three new C3 Churches in 2015! We will keep you updated as we move forward.

December and January are very slow months in Brazil. So many people take long vacations during these months that the country seems to come to a standstill. C3 Curitiba will not even have services for the next two weeks because so many people will be gone. We had our last service of the year this past Sunday night. I preached and we had a great time of praying for people at the end of the service who wanted to leave behind some of the baggage that they carried around during 2014.

Annie and I are spending Christmas week in the beautiful city of Florianopolis. It is about five hours south of Curitiba where we live. This is our first real vacation in a couple of years and we are really enjoying it!

We have one more bit of good news to share. Annie and I are going to be grandparents. Our daughter, Sarah Shackleford and her husband, Matt, are expecting their first child in June of 2015. We are excited for them and will be back in the US for a visit when the baby is born.

As always, thanks so much for your prayers, encouragement, Facebook messages, and financial support. We could not do what we do without you. Here is the link to help us as we train leaders and help plant churches in Brazil. Obrigado and Feliz Natal!
