“Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.” Solomon
Have you ever fallen into the trap of thinking:
“This is not really a good time to start a business.”
“I can’t afford to go back to school.”
“I’d like to change careers, but I’m not sure if it would work out.”
“I need to make a little more money before we can get married.”
“I don’t have the time to write that book.”
“I’ll wait for a better time to invite them to church.”
Timing in life is important, but it is not the most important thing. Doing something is usually better than doing nothing. There is seldom the “perfect” moment to act.
Yes, it is nice when the stars line up, and everything falls into place. If I spend my life waiting for that, though, I am not going to accomplish much. Farmers plant their seed, even if the weather looks bad. A partial crop is better than no crop.
Is there something that you are waiting to do? What is it that is holding you back?
