“Letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.” (Romans 8:6).
“Manage your mind, because it’s the key to peace and happiness. An unmanaged mind leads to tension.
“A managed mind leads to tranquility. An unmanaged mind leads to conflict.
“A managed mind leads to confidence. An unmanaged mind leads to stress.
When you don’t try to control your mind and the way you direct your thoughts, you will have an enormous amount of stress in your life. But a managed mind leads to strength and security and serenity.” Rick Warren
Stress management is a multi-billion dollar a year business in the United States. The Bible has long contained the prescription. As Christians, we have the precious gift of the Holy Spirit living inside of us. By letting him fill us, we can experience true peace, knowing God’s love instead of anxiety and fear.
Our success in life is determined in large measure by what goes on inside of our heads. Our thoughts are always taking us somewhere. We can choose which road we go down by deciding ahead of time to manage our minds. One of the primary ways that we do this is by constantly filling our minds with God’s Word. By getting God’s thoughts inside of us, we will learn to think differently.
