The last several years that I worked for the police department were tough. The county government did not give their employees pay raises for five years. At the same time, the cost of living increased every year and the cost of our health insurance increased every year. Employee morale was as low as it had ever been.
As a lieutenant, I was part of the managerial team. How were we supposed to keep our people motivated if they were worrying about how they were going to pay their bills? This episode of Leading and Learning provides some lessons I learned during that difficult time and gives some practical ideas to motivate our employees.
Annie and I are training leaders and helping plant churches throughout Brazil. We would love to have you on our team. Just click here to get involved. Obrigado!
