This is a guest post from Dr. Jill Sweetman. She and her husband, Dean, are the senior pastors of C3 Church Atlanta and North Hollywood. They are also the regional overseers for over 35 C3 Churches in both North and South America. Her newest book, God Sex: Sexuality, The Bible, and the 21st Century, is a wonderful study of what the Bible says about sex, relationships, and restoration.
“Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.” Genesis 2:22
When a man helps a woman, there may be a variety of responses. Some women welcome the help while others are confused. They may find themselves being embarrassed or even pushing the man away. They do not know how to receive such help. They may become confused regarding their femininity.
The guys may be confused as well. A part of men desires to help women, but the women have rebuffed them. Should they try this deed again?
We are in an age where women have been told that they can do anything. This is true to an extent, but they are not men. They are women. There is confusion between the sexes.
God created two sexes. They are not the same; they are different. They are equal, but they are different.
Aside from the obvious physical differences, what are some of the differences that you have noticed between the two sexes?
